Using a special technique and a plastic trim tool can prevent damage to the plastic clips. He also covers troubleshooting the reasons for improper operation. Why would you want to remove the air dam? If your air dam is not popping up when you open your sunroof, then something is likely wrong with the springs, the spring holder pins, or the plastic clips. The complete air dam assembly must be removed in order to determine the problem and fix it.
