How to Get a Deep Shine on Older Faded Paint

In most cases it is a two step process - especially if your paint is faded.

People often ask Kent what kind of polish he uses to get some of his cars so shiney.  If we are just talking polish there is only one he uses and that is Acrylic - Werks. On his W113 280SL you can see the difference between the old faded paint and the section of the hood he polished with Acrylic - Werks. For paint this badly faded this polish will usually give you a good shine, but to remove some of the excess oxidation and scratches in the paint Kent usually power buffs the surface before applying Acrylic - Werks.

The rear of the car was polished with a buffer before the polish was appled. Doing it this way on really old paint will produce a deeper shine and help to insure the shine lasts longer.
