I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much I appreciate your videos! I have owned the "mothership" for 12 years. I have had 5 mechanics over those years and because I am a woman it is a little harder to find trustworthy people to work on my car. I have a great mechanic now, but, I like to try to fix as much as I can on my own. The more I learn the better off I am. This is my longest Mercedes. I bought her in 2005 for $4500, she had 286,495 miles, she now boasts 609,345. A month ago, I decided to clean the parts under the console... After I got everything out, cleaned and replaced. I even was able to plug back in one of the fiber optic lights back into the spider after watching your video. I need to add that I just recently found your website and videos and feel like I can conquer the world now! Anyway, I put everything back and had moved the old and sagging driver seat to vacuum, well, I went to move it back and nothing! I checked everything, even the ground post un der the ash tray (I found this by watching even more of your videos)! 2 weeks later I had a dead battery I was so lost. I looked under the front seat from the back and could see exposed copper. I knew it had to be the problem. I ordered your seat manual right away and thank you! I unbolted the back tracks and could not undo the front because of the position of the seat but was able to lift the back of the seat up and with the help of a brick, I could see even farther. Holy smokes. I wish I had taken a picture. One of my springs had broken and while I was moving the seat forward to vacuum, it had come loose and knocked the top of the relay (I think that is what it is) loose. it then dug in and wrapped around a rod below the seat spring and was continually grounding out and draining my battery. I got my neighbor to come over and he cut it with a bolt cutter. A new battery and a new base spring set for my seat ( from a passenger seat of course)! I will be riding in style in no time! Thank you! Peyton
