Here is another diesel item I strongly believe should be replaced as a preventative measure. Water pumps do not last forever and when they go, it is usually when you are on a trip - right? I feel they should be changed every 100,000 miles. It is a relatively inexpensive part and ON MOST MODELS a job suited for the do-it-yourselfer. Instructions for removing and replacing the water pump are included. FITS THE FOLLOWING: all 116, 123, and 126 chassis with 4 or 5 cylinder diesel engines from 1977 up to 1985. Also fits ONLY 1974-1976 240D. (WARNING: Does NOT FIT 1975-1976 300D!) 4 hole, long Version - 135mm w/ 36mm HD Bearing - Total Length 135mm
