Troublesome Trunk Seal Leaks

Be sure to look UNDER the trunk seal - you might be surprised!

When it comes to fixing rust on an old Benz (or any other car) - especially in areas that are constantly wet - it can take a miracle to pull off a PERMANENT fix. Over the years I have seen almost everything tried. There is no rust paint or rust conversion product that will work over time when exposed to constant moisture - particularly trapped moisture that does not quickly dry out.

A friend recently brought me their 240D with a persistent water leak into the trunk. They even changed the rear window seal but the leak persisted. Upon close inspection look what I found.  The drip channel under the trunk seal was rusted right through. Now, you try to fix that type of rust with any of the standard products out there and see if it lasts!! Welding is certainly out of the question unless you want to spend big bucks $$$$.

This is the perfect type of repair for using our MIRACLE PAINT combined with fiberglass cloth. It provides both a permanent rust seal coating (that is almost as hard as baked enamel) and a strong bridge over the rust hole. This product never ceases to amaze me!
