Problem & Solution
Common among these chassis:
Kent will demonstrate his technique for removing a difficult rotor in the video. We also have another tip for loosening the bolts that hold the rotor to the hub that was sent in by one of our customers, Ted Browning. The hex bolts holding the rotor to the hub can be very stubborn to get loose. He did not have a strong enough impact wrench nor a good enough vise to hold the rotor so he improvised!
My hat is off to Ted's ingenuity: He mounted the hub back on to the wheel and tire and place it upside down the floor. By stepping on the tire he was able to prevent it from turning while using a long breaker bar to break those bolts loose! Then the new rotor can be set right in place and easily tightened down with a torque wrench.
