Old diesel engines leak oil. It is kind of the nature of the beast. Most of the leaks come from seals and gaskets that have aged and are no longer doing their job. The seals and gaskets dry out or harden with age and allow the fluid to leak by. Only cure is to replace the offending seal or gasket.

- Valve cover
- Front crank seal
- Oil filter housing gasket
- Oil cooler hoses
- Vacuum pump housing gasket
- Breather tube
- Oil filler cap gasket
- Power steering pump
- Turbo charger*
- Valve stem seals*
*In regards to the last two on the list, you may not see the oil leaking onto the ground but the oil may be disappearing.
