Removing a Power Steering Pump Pulley

Most often this can be done without special tools using a helper and a heavy hammer

Most of the time this works (see YouTube video) but sometimes even Kent is off his game...lol. You need to be able to remove the pulley if it is bent or damaged. You also need to remove the pulley to replace the seal behind it which is a very common fluid leak point on older Mercedes.

After the video Kent was able to get the pulley off by using excessive heat from a gas torch. Special pullers are available but Kent wanted to show you the "easy way" to do it... Once again please belive him when he says most of the time it works...
