PLEASE NOTE: The fuel filter is NOT leaking when I am cranking the engine!!!! That is residual fuel left over from the air bleed procedure on the fuel return line. Also for you worry worts,I will not be driving the car until I drain and clean the fuel tank and replace the tank screen. In this video, I will open up the two engine compartment fuel filters for a complete inspection. Dirty and plugged fuel filters one of the top reasons for poor diesel engine performance at startup and during acceleration. They can really rob a diesel engine of power and the power loss can be very subtle.
