Problem & Solution

I decided this was a good tip of the week, especially on a perfect November day here in the Pacific Northwest. I have been making a concerted effort to take time off from work to relax. I do this by flying model airplanes. The Mercedessource Angels know when the sun comes out and the wind dies down - that I may be heading for the flying field. What a fantastic facility we have here in Whatcom county. You can see 10,000 foot Mt. Baker in the background. Facing away from the mountain you look out over the San Juan Islands.
I am holding a very scale model replica of a Piper J3 Cub. I did my basic flight training in the real airplane back in the mid 1960's. I flew a J3 from Chicago to Eastern Tennessee in the spring of 1968. What a flight that was... hedge hopping along miles of farm lands and dropping into every tiny airport to pick up fuel along the way. Flying this little Cub for the first time today brought back some happy memories. I even wagged the wings at myself as I made a very scale low pass right in front of the flight line.... What a day!
