This kit will work on all 115, 116, 123 and 126 chassis diesels from 1969 to 1987. Almost every old Mercedes diesel I see needs to have the motor mounts changed. If you have a mechanic do it for you it will cost an arm and a leg. If you try to do it yourself without these instructions and special tool you might go crazy. Common symptoms of bad rubber mounts are: lots of engine shake, rough engine noise, clanking when you shut down - and if you don't change the mounts soon enough you will end up with all kinds of other problems. These include cracked exhaust manifolds, broken header pipes, broken air cleaner mounts, loose manifolds, loose pulleys and engine accessories, and possible broken or cracked torque converter flex plate. Watch the video below and Kent will explain how this kit works ( new wrench added March 2022 ).

That's right - all that excess vibration from collapsed motor mounts can lead to a whole bunch of other expensive problems - and I have seen them all. This kit will help you install motor mounts yourself with minimal time and hassle. The MOTOR MOUNTS themselves are NOT included. You are purchasing my instructions and the special tool I have devised to get the motor mounts on and off the sub-frame while working under your car. The motor mounts are specific to your year and model.
Along with this tool you will also need a VERY TOUGH 8 mm hex socket to remove the main bolt holding the rubber mount to the engine arm. See related products below.
