These old power non-tilting sunroofs are now 45-plus years old. These are specifically the sunroofs that used the early-style rectangular sunroof motor and separate drive mechanism connected by a rubber drive bushing. They did not come with deflector air dams. There are so many things that can be wrong; it is best just to plan to remove the roof panel, the sunroof motor and drive, and the cable and repair and service all the issues you find. You will be able to fully clean and lubricate ( with the proper lubrication) the sunroof guides and slides, the drive unit, and the cable. You can install a new front rubber seal and a rear seal when the roof panel is out on the bench. NOTE: We do not offer side seals, as good ones are not available from Mercedes at this time.
