Also know as the Bowden cable. If broken or out of adjustment your transmission will not shift properly. NEW o-ring included and installed

Inspect for adjustment and tension. If you disconnect the cable from the throttle linkage and there is no spring back pressure then the cable is broken.

New o-ring seal installed.

WARNING: It is not easy getting this cable out of the transmission.  You can not pull it out without damage. You have to "push" it out. I have designed a custom tool to do just that and it can be ordered separately.  See below.

These transmission pans get "out of shape" due to over-torquing the bolts. That crushes the stops (see below), and when that happens, it is very hard to get the pan seal not to leak. Your best option if you are doing a transmission service is to replace the pan.
