This is becoming one of the common transmission fluid leaks on these older automatics. If the trans is leaking fluid in small puddles while the car sits for longer periods suspect this seal. You can be fooled thinking it is coming from the pan gasket. You need to thoroughly clean the transmission then look closely for the origin of the leak

Replacing the seal can be a challenge, especially on some models with not much working room. The fill tube has to be removed to change this o-ring. If not installed properly it can leak again.
