If you have worked on 5-cylinder 617 turbo diesel cylinder heads before you already know how important it is to have the correct socket for the star cylinder head bolts. This socket is a must to properly remove and re-torque those bolts. Works on all 617 turbo diesel engines from 1978 to 1985. 1/2 inch drive head. DO NOT USE THIS TOOL WITH AN AIR IMPACT WRENCH. You will need a long 1/2 inch breaker bar to remove the bolts without damaging this tool or the bolt. You will need a long 1/2 drive torque wrench to properly install the head bolts. See related products below:
