If one or more doors on a W116 sedan require an excessive pull on the door handle for the door to open you may be able to easily fix this yourself. This video will cover how to remove an outside door handle without damaging the door and how to adjust the handle to make your door open more easily. You should only have to pull the door handle about half of its full travel for the door to release. This video does not cover problems with the door latch assembly itself.
