If your clutch is making growling noise when you push the pedal in these are the parts you need to fix it. You might want to consider replacing the pressure plate and disc while you have the transmission out.

1968 to 1983 Tranmission Clutch Disk to Input Shaft Slide Grease

Do NOT miss this step when installing a new clutch disk or the clutch could bind or chatter!

Often not done, but you will regret not adding this correct SACHS grease to you clutch input shaft splines! Regular grease with not stand up over time.
