Oversize W116 W123 W126 SEDAN Factory Fuel Tank Outlet Screen for WVO

If you drive your 116, 123 or 126 (SEDANS ONLY - WILL NOT FIT WAGON) diesel in cold weather and use the factory fuel tank for your SVO WVO fuel it is advisable to enlarge the fuel tank outlet for better fuel flow. This will allow you to use a heated sump chamber below the level of the tank to heat the oil as it travels to the engine compartment. This will eliminate the need to heat your vegetable oil in the fuel tank which is a bad thing for your oil and for the performance of your engine. The constant heating up and cooling down of the vegetable oil can add moisture to the fuel and deteriorate its quality enough to lead to power loss and excess injector tip coking. And there is no need to overheat the oil in your tank if you are adequately boosting its temperature in the engine compartment just before delivery to the injection pump. You only need to get the oil warm (70 to 90 degrees F) to get it to flow easily to the engine compartment.
