NOTE: We do not sell the coil-over shocks. These can be purchased from numerous sources online. Kent used the shocks from Hiro Performance. You can use Google to find these sources. For actual installation, these are four of Kent's popular kits for converting the ABC suspension in your early SL500 to convention coil-over shocks. Also included are three on-demand videos that walk you through the process of conversion. IMPORTANT NOTE ON REAR BALL JOINT BUSHING REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS: We have modified the press tool to Version 3. This is an improvement over the original tool shown in the instruction video. The principle is the same but the spacers will look different. You will only need one bolt for both removal and installation. Below you will note the differences as well as see the configuration of the revised tool.

2000 to 2006 ABC Rear Control Arm Removal Custom Tool Set
Anytime you need to replace your rear shocks/struts, you must drop the rear control arm. If you are doing other rear suspension work, you may need to drop it as well. Kent came up with this tool kit when he was converting his SL500 to conventional coil-over shock absorbers.

I call this the hidden and forgotten bushing. Why? Because you can not see it to inspect it, it hardly ever gets changed. When these bushings wear out you will feel "weird" movement in your rear end, especially going over rough ground.
